Ordering Workshops are currently being held over Zoom and in my studio. Use the calendar below to schedule yours! I’ll confirm our meeting time and details by email.
I’m Here to Help
During your ordering workshop, we will review your favourite photos, discuss any specific editing you’d like done, and I’ll guide you in deciding how each piece should be finished.
Workshops are currently being held on Zoom.
Prepare for Your Workshop
1. Know your favourite photos.
Have your first few looks through your photos. Mark the photos you love the absolute most with a heart. Wait a day or two, then do it again.
I’ve found that my clients find more photos that they love the second and third times through their galleries. This will help us make sure we don’t miss a thing.
2. Know your home.
Your next step is to walk through your home with your phone and a piece of paper. Bring up the favourites tab in your gallery and start picturing these photos throughout your home. You can hold your phone up in front of you to get a feel for it.
On the piece of paper, write down every nook and cranny where you think your photos will look great. Don’t forget shelves, tables, and other surfaces as well as small, bare sections of wall.
3. Get your details straight.
For shelves and other surfaces, write down the full width of the surface. If there is anything above the surface, measure the available height.
For walls, tap the space you’d like to fill then measure the width and height. If it’s a wall in a big room, tape a piece of letter paper to the wall, take a few steps straight back, take a photo with lots of space for context, and send it to Sophia.
4. Write your gift list.
Make a list of people who will love to see a bit of you every day. Think of parents, grandparents, and siblings. And don’t forget people who live far away; maybe overseas.
Photography is a meaningful gift. In your workshop, I’ll guide you in filling this year’s gift lists including holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries. We’ll plan out the perfect gifts and set them aside for when the time comes.
5. Use your imagination.
Start daydreaming about the pieces you’d like in your home. What do you think about modern metal? Are you a classic frame girl? Or maybe you love an eclectic mix of frames and canvases of different sizes and colours.
Explore the shop tab in your gallery. There, you can see your photos with various finishes and adjust sizes and colours. If you design something you like, you can order it from the shop. For more photos and a full breakdown of prices, tap right here to check out the Investment Guide.
