Taryn + Paige

Taryn and Paige have been together for 2 years now. And when I asked Taryn what she loved most about Paige, she told me, “She’s the sweetest person I’ve ever met. She’s always giving as much as she can.” So it was fitting that Taryn put this much thought into how she would pop the question.

She booked the two of them a snowboarding trip to Blue Mountain where she intended to propose. She was clever, though, by disguising the trip as a Christmas gift. When the weather was looking questionable, she quickly shifted gears and booked spa treatments to keep up the ruse. Her plan was to take Paige shopping and then out for a walk around Blue Mountain Village when they first arrived. While walking down the boardwalk, they would come across me. I would tell them I was a representative for Blue Mountain Tourism, and ask if I could get a photo of the two of them. The rest was up to Taryn…

See how it went, below.

LGBTQ Friendly Photography

I know that members of the LGBTQ+ community need to think about things that others just don’t. I know this because you tell me each time you call me up and inquire about photos. In my opinion, standing in front of the camera can be stressful enough that, in today’s day and age, you shouldn’t have to ask the question, “Are you willing to work with me?” You should be able to call up a service provider of any kind and talk about your needs the same way any cisgender, hetero person would.

If that is the experience you are looking for, tap right here to book your photography consultation. I’ll treat you just like every other ridiculously happy person I work with.
